What Makes Lighthouse Learning Different?

Differentiated Instruction: At Lighthouse Learning, we meet students where they are by tailoring lessons to their abilities and interests rather than strictly adhering to grade-level standards. This allows each child to progress at their own pace, fostering confidence and a love for learning.

  • Small Class Sizes: Our classrooms maintain a 1:14 student-to-teacher ratio, supported by a dedicated teacher assistant in every class of up to 20 students. This structure allows for individualized attention and fosters strong relationships.

  • Additionally, multiple pull-out teachers and push-in support staff further enhance the learning experience, ensuring every child receives the targeted assistance they need to thrive.

  • Faith-Infused Learning: We integrate faith-based virtues and daily devotionals into the curriculum, providing students with a foundation of character, resilience, and spiritual growth.

  • Project-Based Learning: Through hands-on projects and real-world applications, students engage deeply with the material, developing critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Parental Involvement: We prioritize open communication with families and create opportunities for parents to be actively involved in their child’s learning experience, strengthening the home-school connection.

“This is the first time I'm excited to go to school, in a long time.”

“This is the first time I'm excited to go to school, in a long time, and I hope today never ends. I wanna live this day over and over and over again..... Well, no I DO want it to end sometime because I wanna go on Thursday and see what it's like.”

“ We see what they are achieving and planning to do for their community - and we are here for it!”

“So far, my son’s experience at LHL has been surprisingly pleasant, overall positive, and I don't have any complaints. I expected more resistance from our son, but he actually enjoys going to school. My son (who is 6) really enjoys his class, teacher, and especially, Mrs. Oliver. The entire staff has been nothing short of friendly and personable, and from I see, it seems like the staff enjoys being there. My son has only been to one enrichment day, but really enjoyed it.

Like most parents who take their children to LHL, we did not want our son in public school (for many reasons). We feel LHL gives our son an opportunity to be in a more nurturing, while educational environment, 3 days a week is perfect for us. We will continue to grow with LHL.”

Character and Leadership Development K-9th Grade

Curriculum and Learning

Lighthouse Learning will adopt The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey to help students build leadership, responsibility, and personal growth. Here’s how they will apply in our educational setting. These habits help students become leaders, problem solvers, and effective communicators, equipping them for lifelong success.

“Enroll your child here, you will not be disappointed!”

“The pandemic had our son so behind. As a mother, I prayed for a school that would get my son back on track. I prayed for a fun-loving school where he would be able to build his confidence and learn with ease. Not only did this school answer our prayers - I can proudly say our son LOVES to READ! He has excelled in all his subjects and looks forward to going to school. It’s the best decision we’ve made for our son.

This school will change the way we teach our kids to empower them and help them learn at their own pace! Enroll your child here, you will not be disappointed! The bond our son has with the students and teachers are absolutely PRICELESS. You can FEEL the LOVE. Thank you LHL for providing such excellence and understanding that each child has a precious gift.”

The Heart of the Matter

Lighthouse Learning was built on faith and community—neighbors helping neighbors, families lifting one another up, and children growing in both wisdom and compassion.

This fund is about more than money.

It’s about making sure no child’s light goes out because of financial hardship, and ensuring every student continues to walk a BRIGHT Pathway toward hope, belonging, and purpose.

“Lighthouse Learning has been a God-send for my child.”

“The personalized instruction and focus on understanding how my child learns has exponentially accelerated my child's academics and skyrocketed his confidence.

It has given him the opportunity to catch up in a supportive and loving environment. I can't say enough about how it's not only changed my child's life, but ours, as a family. A much more confident, happier, and excited-to-learn child has emerged since starting Lighthouse Learning.

Mrs. Oliver and [the teaching assistants] are amazing and truly adore our children and bring out the best in them through the magical school environment they have created. We even get to use our Step Up for Students grant! I wish I had done this many years ago.”
